Elementary Education, BA


The Elementary Education Major is for students who wish to pursue a degree in teacher education at the elementary level. Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in all professional and specialty area courses; as well as the core English and Math Courses ENG 110 , ENG 111 , ENG 112 , and MAT 110 , MAT 111 , MAT 112 . The curriculum provides an understanding of child development, intellectual development, and issues related to elementary education. Students develop skills needed to instruct children in kindergarten through grade six.

With the exception of EDU 425 , only formally admitted students can take 400-level professional courses.
