Accreditation

The Shaw University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award the associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees. Contact the SACSCOC at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call 404-679-4500 for questions about the accreditation of Shaw University. Normal inquiries about Shaw University, such as admissions requirements, financial aid, educational programs, etc., should be addressed directly to Shaw University and not to the SACSCOC office.


The Shaw University Divinity School is accredited by The Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada [10 Summit Park Drive, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15275-113:

to award the Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Christian Education degrees.


The Kinesiotherapy degree program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
(CAAHEP).


The Social Work program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).


The Teacher Education program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation CAEP
(formerly NCATE), and is approved by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
