School of Arts and Sciences


The School of Arts and Sciences has three (3) undergraduate departments: the Department of General Education and Interdisciplinary Studies, the Department of Heath, Human and Life Sciences, and the Department of Mass Communications and Digital Technology.

The Department of General Education and Interdisciplinary Studies offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies and Visual and Performing Arts with a concentration in Music and a minor in Music.

The Department of Heath, Human and Life Sciences offers four (4) Bachelor degrees. The Bachelor of Arts degree is offered in Psychology, and the Bachelor of Science degree is offered in Biology, Exercise Science with a concentration in Fitness & Wellness, and Exercise Science with a concentration in Pre-Athletic Training.

The Department of Mass Communications and Digital Technology offers one (1) Bachelor of Arts degree. This degree is in Mass Communications. The department offers a minor in the discipline, as well.

The School of Arts and Sciences also offers a minor in Military Studies through the Army ROTC program. This minor is only open to students who complete all requirements for commissioning.

Consistent with the mission of the University regarding educating the whole person, all teaching and training in the School of Arts and Sciences is integrative with regard to subject matter, concepts and character development.
