The Department of Humanities, Music, and General Studies is designed to give students a solid academic foundation encompassing critical thinking, writing, and music education. The courses in this department are designed to encourage students to examine the common issues and themes that run throughout our history, culture, and society, providing a well-rounded human experience.  Attention is given to theoretical foundations, hands-on application, and experiential learning.  The department strives to enhance students’ aesthetic and artistic awareness while improving skills in written and digital formats.
