HIS 502 - History of the Christian Church II (3) Prerequisite: HIS 501 This course is a study of the historical development of the Church from the Reformation to the modern period focusing on the theological aspects of reform and renewal including the Papacy, Luther, Calvin, the Anabaptist Movement, the Radical Reformation, the French Revolution, the English Reformation, the Catholic Reformation, and several of the American denominations. Special attention will be given to the roots of each student’s denominational heritage.
