HIS 533 - African American Church History (3) A study of the historical development, beliefs, practices and contemporary significance of the Black Church. The course examines the historical realities of the African-American religious community and its ministry while lifting up the responses it has made as a proper preparation for sustained reflection on that experience. Students will research their specific denominational or church heritage.
