EDU 255 Curriculum Development for a Community of Learners w/ Field Lab Experience (3)

This course addresses the role of the teacher as a facilitator, decisionmaker, and leader who creates a classroom environment in which all learners can be successful. Students examine instructional practices and evaluation procedures that impact student learning, classroom management, working with families, and the use of the NCSCOS are discussed and analyzed. There is a field experience component in this course that requires the student to do some observations of experienced teachers at work in the public school classroom.
