ENG 310 Old English to Neoclassical Literature (3) Prerequisite: ENG 300 A survey of representative English literary works and their traditions from Caedom’s Hymn and Beowulf through poetry of Thomas Gray. It is a critical, historical and appreciative study of English literature from the Old English Period through the Neo-Classical Period. Students will read and discuss fiction, poetry, drama and prose. Masterpieces of the various literary eras are given special attention.
