CRJ 350 Basic Legal Research (3) Prerequisites: CIS 101 , CRJ 200 , ENG 112 An introduction to techniques and resources of basic legal research. The course focuses on locating and analyzing case law, administrative law, and statutory law. Legal periodicals, treatises, and other secondary sources also are examined. The course introduces computer legal research and teaches the skills required in drafting a memorandum of law. Legal databases, such as Lexis/Nexis and Westlaw are covered.
