BUS 380 Internship Business (3) This course is an academically-sponsored career-related professional work experience that allows the student to link theoretical concepts to practical day-to-day applications. It also provides the opportunity for the student to build professional networks. Projects, research papers, presentations, reflective journals, and/or evaluations will be required by faculty for reporting/grading purposes. The course may be taken more than once if the work experiences differ. Working at a current job does not qualify for internship credit. Every 40 contact hours equals one hour of academic credit, with a maximum of 4 credits per internship. Prerequisite: Minimum of 60 credits completed by the time of the internship and permission of instructor. Appropriate placement must be arranged by the student with the assistance and support of the Experiential Learning and Career Development Center or other appropriate resources.
