Exercise Science is the systematic study of the mechanisms underlying human movement exercise, and physical activity. This encompasses aspects from the disciplines of human anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, psychology, motor control and biomechanics. An individual studying exercise science should have a strong interest in applying scientific principles to a variety of human movement, exercise and physical activity settings. Students graduating with a degree in Exercise Science can find employment in corporate fitness centers, health clubs, sports medicine clinics, cardiac rehabilitation programs, sports training facilities or other programs that require exercise testing and prescription.
